Who are your top five favorite authors right now? Stephen King, Barbara Kingsolver, John Grisham, Jeff Lindsay and Suzanne Collins.
What is your literary guilty pleasure? Betty and Me comic books.
Where is your favorite place to write? On the deck of a beach house overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Too bad I only get to go there once a year for a few days. Otherwise, in the swing in my back yard.
What books inspired you as a child? Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, the Betsy, Tacy and Tib series by Maud Hart Lovelace, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl and Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell (which I read when I was 11 years old.)
If you could meet any literary character who would it be? Why? Hands down, it would be Jo March in Little Women. I idolized her from the first time I read about her when I was in the 4th grade. I admired her spirit, her outspokenness, her disregard for what anyone thought of her, and her complete lack of pretentiousness. Plus, she was a writer. I wanted to be her when I grew up. I still do!

I really enjoyed reading about Joyce. Thanks for spotlighting her.
