Who are your top five favorite authors right now? Cassandra Clare, Roni Loren, Maggie Stiefvater, Rick Bragg, and Michelle Hodkin.

What is your literary guilty pleasure? Charlaine Harris’s Sookie Stackhouse series. They’re so awful, but I keep reading.

What books inspired you as a child? I read nonstop as a kid. I especially loved the Laura Ingalls Wilder books; Nancy Drew series (both the old ones and the Case Files); anything by Christopher Pike; and (I’m going to get teased for this) the Sweet Valley Twins and Sweet Valley High series.

Is there a genre or style of writing that you are afraid to attempt? I write most comfortably in the first person, so it’s difficult for me to switch to third or omniscient. I’m working on it. I’d also like to try adult fiction or horror someday, but I don’t ever see myself writing children’s books.

If you could meet any literary character who would it be? Why? Fitzwilliam Darcy. No explanation needed. ;)

OMG. I grew up on Sweet Valley Twins and Christopher Pike too. And, I’m a closet Sookie Stackhouse reader. They are soooo good. Like junk food for books. :)
