From the President:
I hope everyone had a happy and safe Independence Day. This summer has been full of “ings” for me: editing, reading, and writing. Be productive with your writing goals, or enjoy some down-time between projects—that’s important, too.
2012-2013 MWG president
Open Mic is continuing over the summer on the third Thursdays at Serda’s Coffee on Royal Street. Join us next Thursday, July 19th from 6-8 p.m. No pre-registration. Sign up to read with Kat Kennedy when you arrive, as early as 5:30 p.m.
“Drink-n-Scrawl” on Saturday, July 21. We’ll meet from 2-4 p.m. at The Bluegill Restaurant on the Causeway. Several writing groups from across the bay plan on joining us, and it’s open for all to attend. Everyone is responsible for their own food/drinks.
The final Drink-n-Scrawl date is August 18. Same time, same place.
MWG vice president Angela Quarles is under contract for BEER AND GROPING IN LAS VEGAS, a 13K word novelette, due out in January 2013 by Secret Cravings Publishing. Congratulations!
